About Michael
Michael J. Decker is Maroulis Professor of Byzantine History and Orthodox Religion at the University of South Florida. He has taught at the University of Oxford, Rice University, and the United Arab Emirates University. His books and articles have appeared internationally in more than four languages. His previous book, the award-winning The Byzantine Art of War, won wide recognition and accolades from military historians and a wider readership. It is currently being translated into Mandarin Chinese.
